We lost our wonderful Dakota in May of this year.  It was sudden and unexpected as he had gastric torsion or his stomach flipped.  We took him as quick as possible to the vet but with his age and the symptoms we had to put our friend and companion to sleep.  I am just now to the point where I can post this on the web, since I still get requests for him I thought it was time to let those of you that visit our site know what happened.  He was a loyal friend and I miss him on my daily walks with the dogs and still cannot think about the hunting season without him.  Those of you that are visiting our site I am sure know how this has affected our family.

Dakota is a Mayo Kellogg bred chocolate male Labrador Retriever. We purchased him from Kellogg Kennel in South Dakota.  He is 9 yrs old. He has a beautiful deep dark Chocolate coat. He is a trim 95 lbs.  He loves retrieving on land and in water.  Dakota has retrieved quail and ducks in the field. He has a great personality and is great with kids, plays with his puppies, and still thinks that he is a LAP dog.  Dakota is AKC registered.
